Well Fall is upon us! And as the leaves transition their colors, October is serving as a transition month for us.
We will start the month with communion and finish our series on prayer. Jill Young will be with us again bringing us an update on her work. And we will begin the last series in our year of discipleship "Hard Conversation, Holy Ground: Confronting sin with humility, wisdom, and
restoration." We also have our annual fish fry coming up! This will be Sunday the 19th following service. We encourage you to bring a friend and a dish to pass.
I would encourage you to take a copy of the prayer list and be praying specifically for several church related items. Please be praying for the process with SCUSA. The next congregational update will be coming the last week in November. Please be praying for more men to become equipped to be elders. Be praying
for a man who has the elder qualities and technical skill in music to lead our praise team.
I do want to thank each one of you for your continued prayers and support of the gospel work here at Burr Oak. May we strive to make him first in all things as we work to grow the family of God!
