August is an exciting month for us here at Burr Oak!
We will celebrate communion together as a church family. We will hear from a young local couple who is getting ready to head out on to the mission field. Inspiration Ministries will be visiting with us again, there will be a light luncheon following this service. We will have Erica Simone coming with an update on her mission work. And we will have
another 5th Sunday Worship Sunday!
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!
August will also kick-off our year-long process with Small Church USA. SCUSA exists to strengthen the health of the local church. This is an important process for our church as we continue to grow in our understanding and practice of what our God has called us to.

(here). The process will begin with me being gone August 16-18 at the kick-off retreat for the group of pastors that I will be learning alongside. Please, please,
please, be praying for this process. Please do not hesitate to bring forward your questions. This process will only work if the entire church is in the know of what we are working through.
